During an inspection in response to concerns
We noted that most of the people were engaged in individual activities and each person had support from a member of the care staff. One person was being supported to get ready to go out their mosque and staff were helping them to identify clothing they would wear. This person told us that "The staff help me, they are kind and know that I miss my sister who is away on holiday. She will visit me soon."
The families of people using the service were involved in different ways and people living in the home were able to have visitors at any time.
Another person using the service wanted to to go out for a walk and staff accompanied the person. We noted that they were chatting and engaging with one another in a positive way when they returned from their walk.
One person was on half term break from college and was occupied with a member of staff who supported her with her wish to pratice applying make up and using nail polish. The person commented that “I like living here, (staff name) helps me with my make up and helps me when I want to do things."
