During a routine inspection
We saw that before young people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes.
We found that people received support which had been clearly documented. Care, treatment and support was planned and delivered so that people were safe, their welfare protected and their needs met.
People were protected from abuse, or the risk of abuse, because staff received training on child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
The provider had effective recruitment and selection procedures in place and carried out relevant checks on staff.
People were asked for feedback about the service they received. We saw evidence to show that satisfaction surveys were completed and analysed on a quarterly basis. The staff we spoke with were very positive about the service and KCA as an employer. One person said, 'The KCA invest in their staff'. Another person commented, 'It's a great team to work in'.
