There were 35 people living at the home at the time of our inspection. During our visit we spoke with four people and three relatives. We also spoke with staff and observed care being delivered. One of the people that we spoke to said, 'They couldn't look after me any better than they do'. During our visit we observed interactions between staff and people who used the service. We found these interactions to be positive, sensitive and friendly. Everyone told us they were satisfied with the care and support they or their relative received.
We looked at people's individual care plans and observed that each plan had information which confirmed an assessment of needs had been carried out. We spoke with the staff on duty. They demonstrated that they knew how care was to be delivered to ensure that people's wishes and preferences were respected.
People told us they were treated with respect and that their privacy and dignity was maintained. One of the people we spoke to told us that, 'Staff are so lovely and courteous and careful'.
We spoke with staff who told us that they were happy working in the home. They told us the home had a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Observations during our visit supported this. Staff told us that they felt supported in their work. They told us that the manager was approachable and helpful. Two members of staff that we spoke with told us that they "Love working here'
