During a routine inspection
The practice had procedures in place to keep patients safe and we saw that staff regularly checked the emergency equipment was working and drugs were in date. We found up to date checks and audits of infection control which were carried out on a regular basis. These showed that the practice was meeting the required standards of infection control.
All staff were required to maintain a five year period of continuous professional development as part of their registration with the General Dental Council. Records showed that professional registration was up to date for all staff.
Patients we spoke with told us they would raise any concerns with their dentist or practice staff. The practice had not received any formal complaints.
The practice had systems in place to record, and securely retain, information regarding the care delivered to people. The practice had accurate and up to date records related to the running of the service, which assisted in maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff to visit and work in.
