During a routine inspection
We looked at the personal care and treatment records of three out of the 20 people who used the service which showed that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.
We spoke with five people who used the service. The majority of people told us they were generally satisfied with the treatment and care that they received. One person told us, 'All the staff are very kind. I have no complaints.' Another told us, 'Staff are marvellous. They check on you all the time and always cheerful.'
On the day of our inspection, the service was clean. We saw that staff were trained in infection control and steps had been taken to minimise cross infection.
We spoke with two staff and the senior modern matron. The staff were knowledgeable and well trained. They told us they felt supported by their line managers and worked well as a team.
Any complaints made had been dealt with effectively. Policies and procedures were in place to assist people to make a complaint if they wanted to.
