During a routine inspection
We found people gave consent to their care and received care and support that met their needs. A person told us, “I have got a care plan. I was here when they did it, they asked me what to put in it.” Another person said, “I would say they are normally on time. I have two regular carers and they leave everywhere clean.”
We found people who used the service were kept safe and protected from harm. Staff knew how to respond to any allegation of abuse. A person who used the service told us, “I feel comfortable when they are in the house.” A relative told us, “I feel my wife is safe in their hands, she seems to perk up when they come and has a grin on her face.”
We found there were sufficient staff to meet people’s needs. A relative told us, “There are usually enough staff, perhaps the odd blip at weekends.” A person who used the service told us, “I get introduced to any new carers, I’ve not yet met one who isn’t an angel.”
We found the provider assessed and monitored the quality of the service. A person who used the service told us, “If I want anything I call the office they will sort anything for me.” Another person said, “I think they are very well run, I said so in a questionnaire I filled out recently."
