Date of assessment 12 September to 14 October 2024. This assessment was carried out due to the service currently being unrated. This is the first assessment for the service. The overall rating for the service is Good based on the findings of this inspection. ICare is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to adults with a range of support needs in their own homes. At the time of this assessment 19 people were receiving personal care and support.

People told us they felt safe with the care and support they received from the provider. People told us they could raise concerns and were confident these would be thoroughly investigated. People told us staff supported them to access other health professionals such as doctors and district nurses. Relatives told us the provider effectively communicated any changes in people’s health. People said they received consistent care and staff used equipment safely. People and relatives told us staff were kind and people said staff upheld their privacy and dignity. Relatives told us the provider was adaptable and highly responsive to people’s changing needs. People and relatives told us they felt involved in the service and could easily access the care plan and daily records. People and relatives told us they had faith in the registered manager’s ability to lead the service and felt the registered manager was approachable and supportive.
