The service completed person centred care plans which contained information related to the person. This meant staff had the right information needed to provide care to people.

People's care and treatment was planned and delivered in a person centred way. One relative told us they were very happy with the care and support their loved one received.

Staff told us the care plans were helpful, and provided them with guidance to enable them to deliver care to people in the way they wanted.

The registered manager demonstrated an understanding and awareness of assessing capacity. Staff had received Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards training.

At the time of the assessment, no-one using the service lacked the capacity to make decisions.

The provider had policies in place regarding mental capacity, this also had a section that was specifically for young people. The registered manager could describe the process they would follow if they had had concerns over a person lacking capacity.
