Date of assessment: 13 June 2024. This assessment was brought forward due to a change in manager since the last inspection and concerns raised. Kings Court was a safe and happy home with confident, calm and caring staff. The home was clean and some areas were being redecorated. Policies and procedures ensured staff understood their roles and responsibilities. Care was carried out by trained staff, who supported people to be as independent as possible. Other healthcare professionals were involved in care planning when necessary. The registered manager told us people and families were involved in creating the care plans. Most activities were carried out on the ground floor and were not always attended by people on other floors, either because the activity was not appropriate for them or because they found it too difficult to attend. Staff were sometimes task focussed and did not always knock on doors before entering rooms. The quality of care varied between the floors.
