Our view of the service

We carried out this on-site, announced assessment on 29 July 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks and recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance and patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in Bedford and provides NHS and private orthodontic dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 4 orthodontists, 1 orthodontic therapist, 5 dental nurses, 2 receptionists and 1 practice manager. The practice had 3 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 orthodontist who was also the owner, 2 receptionists, 1 dental nurse and the practice manager.

People's experience of this service

During our assessment, we received patient feedback from 8 patients, all of which was positive. Comments included staff being kind and helpful and patients were very happy with their care. Staff gathered feedback from patients and demonstrated a commitment to acting on feedback.
