During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found the following examples of good practice.
• The provider had access to innovative technology to engage people and keep them entertained during their stay at the service. This included a ‘magic table’, which could be used for games, playing music, projecting lights and scenes. Technology was also used to help people keep in contact with families.
• The infection control arrangements were well organised, with clear designated zones for specific purposes around the home. The environment was spacious, which helped support social distancing.
• The service worked in partnership well with other agencies and health professionals, to ensure people’s needs were met.
We were assured that this service met good infection prevention and control guidelines as a designated care setting.
