Caring
People were cared for by kind, compassionate and considerate staff. People were treated as individuals. People were able to make choices about their care. Staff were well supported. We did not assess all the quality statements within this key question. We did not identify concerns relating to these areas which we judged as being met at our last inspection.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
People using the service and their relatives told us staff were kind and caring. Their comments included, ''They are gentle with [person]'', ''The carers are jolly, polite, and good mannered'', ''They are courteous and laugh with me'' and ''Carers are calm, placid and well-mannered. They are nice and take their job seriously.''
The management team spoke positively about people they were supporting, they knew them well and had good relationships with them.
We were unable to get any direct feedback from partners. No concerns have been raised by external partners about people's care. The provider's records show good partnership working which indicated partners were satisfied with the quality of care from staff.
Treating people as individuals
We did not look at Treating people as individuals during this assessment. The score for this quality statement is based on the previous rating for Caring.
Independence, choice and control
People told us their choices were respected. One person explained, ''The carers ask me if I am happy with what they are doing, they ask me what food I would like and what I would like to wear.'' People were supported to be independent when they were able. One person said, ''I try to be independent, but they always ask if I need help to check.'' People and their relatives explained that staff respected their home environments, lifestyle and family.
The registered manager told us people were supported to make choices about their care and these were respected.
Care plans included information about people's known choices and how they wanted to be cared for. There was also guidance for staff to remind them to offer people choices, to allow people to feel empowered and to respect people's decisions.

Workforce wellbeing and enablement
Staff told us they felt supported by the agency.
The management team regularly met with staff and contacted them to help make sure they were happy and had the information and support they needed.
