Our view of the service

Trustbridge Care is a domiciliary care agency. The service provides personal care to younger and older people, some who may be living with dementia, mental health needs and physical and sensory disability needs. At the time of our inspection there were 103 people using the service. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. In this service, the Care Quality Commission can only inspect the service received by people who get support with personal care. This includes help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where people receive such support, we also consider any wider social care provided. 87 of those people received the regulated activity of personal care.

People's experience of this service

During this inspection we spoke with 1 person and 4 relatives of people who used the service. People felt improvements could be made to the timeliness of their calls and told us staff did not always stay for the full length of their care call. Some people felt staff training could improve and that some staff were inconsistent when seeking to involve a person in their care. Not all people felt they had a way of sharing their views regularly. Most people told us leaders were approachable. However, 1 relative told us they had not always found them approachable or felt listened to. People were happy with the service they received overall. People told us they felt safe, and any issues were resolved quickly. People felt their needs were assessed and that appropriate referrals were made should they need any additional support, such as mobility aids.
