During a routine inspection
A detailed medical history was taken for new patients and people were referred to a specialist if required. All staff had received basic life support training and there was emergency equipment available.
People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to prevent abuse from happening. All staff had received safeguarding training. Pre-employment checks were carried out on all staff, including a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
There were effective systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive. The quality of the service was monitored internally and externally via the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) indicators. Feedback questionnaires were collected and incidents were reported and investigated by the most appropriate member of staff. Where necessary, action plans were put in place.
