On and before 13 March 2024, the employer was found in breach of regulations 6(1)(a), 6(1)(b), 6(5)(a), 8(2), 14(2)(b), 14(3)(h) and 14(3)(i)
Description
An Improvement Notice was issued to the employer under Section 21 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 following a planned comprehensive inspection of the nuclear medicine service. This identified concerns around missing schedule 2 procedures, lack of referral guidelines and study of risk (for radionuclide therapy treatments) and level of medical physics expert support.
Result
The employer submitted evidence and was deemed to comply with this Notice on 31 July 2024.
