People's experience of this service

At the Radbourne Unit we spoke with 14 patients and three carers. The majority said staff were kind and understood their needs, however both patients and carers had concerns around drugs and alcohol being brought onto the wards. Two carers said they were concerned about the level of self harm on the wards. Patients said the wards were frequently short staffed and this impacted the time they could access outside space. Eight patients said that they did not like sleeping in dorms and they were often kept awake by other patients being distressed. At the Hartington Unit we spoke with 20 patients. Most patients said that staff were considerate, kind and responsive to their needs and that overall, they felt safe on the unit. However,…………
