Person-centred Care

Peoples experiences were mixed. One person told us they were not consulted about their care and support needs and that their care plan was developed without their input. However other people told us they were involved in care planning.

Staff we spoke to understood what person centred care was and could explained how they delivered person centred care to people. However the provider could not be assured that people received their medicines in a personalised way. People’s preferences about how they wanted their medicines administered were not always recorded on the electronic medicines administration record (e-MAR).
