Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. We were told; “Caring, friendly and professional nature displayed by dentist, dental nurses and reception team” and “Staff always very pleasant and helpful and everyone makes your visit comfortable.” Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. They said that staff were “Polite and efficient. Knowledgeable about current techniques.” Patients felt they were treated as individuals and their personal and cultural needs were respected. We were provided with a patient survey; all results seen provided a positive response about the staff and care given at the practice.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
