The lead GP explained they had regular sight of how GPs working at the practice managed referrals for tests and the action taken when test results were received. They had previously carried out formal checks. There were regular formal and informal discussions between clinicians and the whole team so learning and ideas could be shared. Staff felt included in these discussions and told us they were able to make suggestions where they thought improvements could be made.

The clinical team had a WhatsApp group so information could be quickly and easily shared. This was an established system, and they ensured no personal information about people was shared in this way. The lead GP, supported by the clinical team, held women’s health events, with information stands and workshops. The most recent one, in April 2024, was fully booked. Feedback was positive with people saying they had learned from the event and were now committed to attending cancer screening.
