Kindness, compassion and dignity
Overall people described staff as caring and compassionate and respectful of their privacy and dignity. People’s comments included, “Yes, kind and caring. All my carers are really nice. They treat me like we’re friends. They listen and make sure I am happy with them. They treat me like an adult. They know if I’m in pain and help me through. They come mostly on time if they are going to be late or send a different carer they call to let me know. There’s always at least one carer I know they never sent 2 carers I’ve never met”; “They tidy my things up before they go. I trust them with my personal information. They don’t talk to me about other people they visit, and I trust they don’t talk about me to others. I know about confidentiality” and, “We’ve used a lot of companies, and this is the most professional so far.”
