Governance, management and sustainability
There were monthly clinical governance meetings. All members of the multidisciplinary team attended these meetings and reviewed the care they provided. At the meeting they review data relating to patients’ length of stay, to ensure that patients are in hospital for the shortest time necessary. They also reviewed incidents to identify learning and improve safety. Ward managers shared information with the wider team via emails, at handovers and where appropriate displayed information on notice boards, to improve the quality of care provided. Staff told us that managers were visible and approachable and that they had regular supervision.
