Equity in experiences and outcomes
Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this. During our assessment, the registered manager provided details of instances where reasonable adjustments had been made to facilitate health appointments, including providing additional staff support. The registered manager stated, “Recently we have also requested more community referrals to be made for our residents with long term health conditions as research and technology changes all the time. We want to ensure we are following latest guidance to improve our resident’s quality of life.” A health and social care professional told us, “I have always found the registered manager to be proactive and responsive in supporting the patient’s physical health needs and has worked collaboratively with our health team. The registered manager has been a pleasure to work with, as have the staff team.”
