People had supportive relationships with staff and were supported to make choices about their support. A person said, “The support is good. I am happy with the care. They come in and ask what I want to do today. They always ask first.”

Staff supported people to be as independent as possible. A staff member commented, “As staff we are also dedicated to creating a supportive environment, fostering independence while being mindful of the specific needs of the individuals we support.”

People were involved in developing their care plans to help ensure the support they received met their needs. These were reviewed regularly so they continued to reflect what people wanted.
